The waitlist helps us control costs and filter out abuse. Most developers are approved within 24 hours. If you have a .edu email or work at a known company, you may be auto-approved instantly.

You can purchase credit packs to keep going — this works on every plan, including free. Credits are the same price on all plans, and they kick in after your monthly allocation is used up. If you're buying credits regularly, upgrading your plan saves money since plan allocations are always cheaper per address.

Credits expire after 12 months from purchase. We believe this is fair since unused credits represent committed resources. Most active users consume credits well within this window.

Typically under 5 seconds from the moment an email is sent to your OneShotMail address to when it's available via the API. Our SDK's wait_for_email() method handles polling with exponential backoff, so you don't need to manage timing yourself.

No. OneShotMail is built for developers and legitimate automation. We enforce rate limits, monitor for abuse, and our Terms of Service prohibit using the service for spam, fraud, or creating throwaway accounts on other services.

Emails are stored encrypted in S3 and automatically deleted when the address TTL expires. We never log email content, only metadata. Once an address expires, the email is gone forever. This is by design.

Yes! One-shot sending is coming in v2. You'll be able to send a single email from a throwaway address — perfect for testing your app's inbound email processing. We're working on it now.
